Amanda Freitag Partnership

In the summer of 2020 as things first begun to open up during the pandemic, Blue Apron wanted to announce an exciting new Chef Partnership with celebrity chef Amanda Freitag. It was everyone’s first shoot in NYC after months in quarantine and the goal was to create these videos with a tiny, Covid-safe team in time for Back to School season. Together, we created this hero video and additional 30 and 15 second variations.

Blue Apron partnered with chef Amanda Freitag to spotlight its newest seasonal offerings — a lineup focused on fresh ingredients, accessible prep, and elevated weeknight meals. The challenge was to create a branded video that felt genuine and inviting, not overly staged or overly branded.

We needed to showcase Amanda’s personality and culinary chops while letting the food and the experience take center stage. The tone had to feel relaxed and authentic, with production quality that matched Amanda’s credibility and Blue Apron’s premium positioning.

Create a lifestyle-driven cooking film that highlights Amanda’s approachable expertise and the ease of Blue Apron’s meal kits. The goal was to blend chef storytelling with product demonstration, delivering something that felt as good to watch as the meals are to cook.

We aimed for a tone that was warm, informative, and elevated — the kind of content that could live seamlessly across Blue Apron’s website, email, and social, while also supporting brand partnerships and paid campaigns.

We produced a clean, naturally lit video that feels like stepping into Amanda’s home kitchen. The pacing was calm and inviting, with tight food beauty, effortless transitions, and moments of real charm from Amanda as she shared tips, techniques, and personal insights.

The final piece brought Blue Apron’s seasonal menu to life in a way that felt tactile, nourishing, and credible — helping the brand stand out in a crowded meal kit market by pairing ease with authenticity. It became a hero asset in their seasonal campaign rollout and reinforced Amanda as a trusted voice for food-loving home cooks.
